Furthermore, it examines best practices of innovation (BPI) in groupsrepresentative of SMEs: producing goods(agribusiness, manufacturing, textile and clothing industry) and the other group consists of service providers (in the areas of tourism, ICT, health and transport), located in the cities of Tunja, Paipa, Duitama and Sogamoso. Innovation profiles made by managers and entrepreneurs about innovative practicesin products orservices, processes, management and marketing, show that all of the SMES are, mostly, in a takeoff or development stage, with significant gaps in the four types of innovation that were considered ER -
