Abstract

This paper discuses the question about whether or not, now days philosophy is implanted in the hottest problems
of the time in which we live in, or the opposite, as Nietzsche thought, the school’s philosophy has prevented us to
think on philosophy. That is not strange if we consider that this is a time in which the philosophy teaching at university
level, is anchored in the vain repetition of the philosophy’s history, completely disconnected from our problematic
reality of the moment. In other words, at the margin of an era, which in a poetic image, is coming into a frightening storm. Therefore, who ever is dedicated to the task of teaching philosophy, doesn’t have any other way that turn his back from his own era, or to think in the middle of the
storm, rooted in a world and a time so shocked as ours. Perhaps the classroom is the best reflection of today’s situation, spite all the problems that it incarnates,
maybe is the only place in which an exit can be thought. In that case, as the poet Hölderlin expressed it: “There where the greatest danger is, it also grows the rescue
faculty”.

Key words: Education, Philosophy, to Think.
