The main themes of the special edition focus on "Strategic management as a promoter of Sustainability to Shared Value" The main issue addressed by the Congress is that of strategic management, because although López and Rodríguez (2008) mention it, it is the strategic approaches that lead to an organization being competitive, so important are they that they become the main objective this. Other authors such as Hill and Jones (2011) even say that strategic management is a modern method to successfully manage companies and face future challenges. On the other hand, strategic management is involved in the issue of sustainability and shared value, which is why this topic is being worked on in the last few days in a very correct manner, because although Schalb and Malca (2006) say it is an attitude in the that we consider the repercussions of the physical and social environment derived from our actions. For the above it is very important to explain that for this to be achieved, the concept of sustainability is strengthened in practice thanks to various aspects such as in this case the creation of value, as indicated by Díaz and Lozano (2011).
