Abstract

Este artículo muestra el resultado de un proyecto de
investigación cuyo objetivo fue definir una
metodología para determinar la capacidad y nivel de
servicio en infraestructuras peatonales continuas en
Colombia, a partir de la formulación de modelos
representativos del entorno, tomando como caso
estudio la ciudad de Tunja, Colombia. La metodología
partió del análisis de la movilidad peatonal en algunas
ciudades de tamaño medio, luego se realizó la
caracterización de variables macroscópicas de flujo
peatonal en la ciudad caso estudio, y mediante la
utilización de videos se procedió a encontrar la relación
entre variables en diferentes ámbitos de flujo peatonal
continuo. Finalmente se propone un procedimiento que
permita determinar la capacidad y el nivel de servicio
en infraestructuras peatonales de flujo continuo en
Colombia.
