Its subject matter is oriented towards the dissemination of original and specialized writings in the field of Education and is aimed at the academic research community and research centers of educational institutions. It is intended to promote alternative research initiatives in the areas of humanities, arts and sciences, and seeks to be a means of dissemination of innovative pedagogical experiences in the training of graduates and educators, through the various pedagogical and technological mediations that enhance educational otherness and autonomy in learning and teaching.

It is attached to the School of Humanistic Sciences and Education of the Faculty of Distance Studies of the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia.
