Durante los últimos años son mayores y diversos los esfuerzos que, desde la Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia, se han hecho para fortalecer las revistas y los libros donde se divulgan los resultados de los procesos académicos e investigativos, que se realizan a nivel nacional e internacional.
Prueba de ello es el reconocimiento que ha hecho el Sistema Nacional de Indexación de Publicaciones Científicas y Tecnológicas Colombianas, Publindex, que subió de escalafón a varias revistas indexadas de la UPTC, quedando 9 revistas en A2, 3 revistas en categoría B, y 3 en C, entrando a este grupo la revista “Ingeniería, Investigación y Desarrollo”, de la Facultad Seccional Sogamoso, para un total de 15 revistas indexadas.
Una de ellas es la revista Facultad de Ingeniería, la cual ha venido trabajando constantemente en la mejora de sus procesos con el fin de obtener reconocimiento mundial por parte de la comunidad científica. Este esfuerzo se ve reflejado en ser una de las primeras revistas de la Universidad, clasificada en categoría A2 por Publindex, Colciencias, adicionalmente los índices y bases de datos en las que se encuentra indizada e indexada certifican su calidad editorial, como recientemente lo hizo Redalyc, que en cabeza de su director General, Doctor Eduardo Aguado López, aseguró que la Revista cumple satisfactoriamente los criterios de calidad editorial considerados en la metodología redalyc.org, y que su indización ha sido ratificada por unanimidad por los integrantes del Comité Científico Asesor Redalyc.
Todo ello es muestra fehaciente de que el trabajo en conjunto de los diferentes actores de la gestión editorial, conlleva a generar publicaciones reconocidas que coadyuvan a certificar el esfuerzo que se hace desde la Administración en los procesos académico-investigativos, como pilar fundamental de nuestra Institución.
Como Rector de esta Universidad reconozco y felicito a la Facultad de Ingeniería y en especial al editor, a los Comités Editorial y Científico de la Revista, al cuerpo editorial, a los autores nacionales e internacionales, a los pares académicos y a todo el equipo de trabajo, por haber hecho posible que esta publicación alcanzara altos niveles de calidad y reconocimiento, convirtiéndose así en un referente y un importante logro académico, orgullo para nuestra querida UPTC.
