Nuevas Lecturas de Historia is a scientific journal that publishes original research articles, review articles and short articles in the area of history and its relations with other fields of knowledge, it is also the organ of dissemination and discussion of the research work of the masters in History of the UPTC, was created in 1974, based on the notebooks "Lecturas de Historia" with the texts prepared by the professors of the first Masters in History that emerged in Colombia in 1973, inaugurating with a writing of the French historian Pierre Vilar. In a second period, starting in 1988, it adopted the title Nuevas Lecturas de Historia (New Readings in History) and has been published uninterruptedly since then. In this new stage it will function as a virtual journal through the UPTC's journal portal.

Open access policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free access to research helps a greater global exchange of knowledge.
