Biological samples were obtained with net screen and net Surber. Simultaneously we measured the temperature, electrical conductivity, alkalinity, pH, oxygen, oxygen saturation and flow. 16 Families were found with greater representation in the order Diptera and Ephemeroptera. We observed differences in the composition zone and a progressive reduction in the richness of morphotypes. With regard to the one dominated the scraper collector habit, in the zone two, the herbivores detritivores, and in the zone three, the filter and filter-collectors. Electrical conductivity and pH were the environmental variables that had higher spatial variability. The variation in biomass of dominant functional groups was related to changes in pH, electrical conductivity and dissolved oxygen, and consequently with the changes in the environmental quality of the system. It was determined a high spatial heterogeneity reflected in different structural and functional expressions of aquatic macroinvertebrates.
