Abstract

El Benchmarking es un proceso continuo en búsqueda de la excelencia, que ha venido ganando auge en las empresas  constructoras  latinoamericanas a  raíz del éxito  rotundo  que  tuvo  en  compañías  similares  de diferentes partes del mundo. El proceso fue adoptado y  desarrollado  en  Colombia  por  el  Grupo  de
Investigación  en Construcción  de  la Universidad EAFIT  –GESCON–  con  excelentes  resultados. Aunque su estructuración fue concebida en Colombia en  el  año 2002,  en nuestra  región  es muy poca  su ejecución y  tras experiencias de  su  implementación en  proyectos  boyacenses  se  logran  conocer  sus grandes  beneficios,  aunque  también  una  serie  de falencias  en  la  concepción  de  sus  indicadores  y posibles  limitaciones  ante  proyectos  de  poca envergadura  económica.
