The GRP (Ground Penetrating Radar) in different studies of the subsoil

Abstract

This article exposes manifold aspects on one of the most used geophysical techniques at the present time. Method GPR is very useful in the solution of problems in different branches of the applied science and in special in situations where it becomes necessary to conserve intact setting to study. The operation of the GEORADAR is based on the emission and reception of electromagnetic properties of the material, as well as of some parameters of the setting. The variations in the electromagnetic waves are eaught by the receiving unit, later they are sent to the record unit where the data suffer a treatment which reproduces a hi-res  image of the material. The depth of investigation as the resolution depends on the type of antenna used, which varies based on the frequeney. The rule indicates that at greater frequency, greater resolution, but smaller depth of investigation.
