Peer review and evaluation process.

The peer review and evaluation process of Inquietud Empresarial Journal (Revista Inquietud Empresarial - RIE) is carried out according to the "double-blind" system, that is, the author will not know who reviewed his article, and the reviewer will not know the author's name either. For publication approval, the manuscript will be submitted to the following stages:

Editorial review: Manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo editorial review before being sent for peer review. This review considers the similarity with other sources and the thematic correspondence.

Search and assignment of reviewers: When the manuscript passes the editorial review, the process of seeking and assigning external reviewers will begin, which are selected according to their academic trajectory and publications.

Peer evaluation and results: In accordance with the guidelines for evaluating journal manuscripts, the evaluated article may have four (4) results:

  1. Publishable without modifications
  2. Publishable with minor modifications

When a manuscript is considered publishable with minor modifications, the Editorial Committee and the Editor in Chief will determine if the work, after receiving the corrections by the author, is publishable in that version or if it needs another round of revision.

  1. Needs another round of peer review

When it is perceived as needing another round of peer review, the author is informed about the corrections, who decides whether to commit to them; if he does not do so, he must communicate his decision to the Editorial Committee in writing.

  1. Not publishable

This result will be accompanied by comments from the reviewer, in which it is recommended that the manuscript should be revised, improved, or reconsidered.

Conflict resolution: When contradictory opinions are presented in the evaluation of a manuscript, the manuscript will be sent to a third reviewer so that he can evaluate it and settle the controversy.

Corrections: corrections requested from authors after reading by reviewers will be subject to verification by the editorial committee or by the reviewers themselves, depending on the result. These corrections must be indicated in the manuscript and be accompanied by a response letter to the reviewers.

Final decision: the final decision on the publication or not of a manuscript that has received a request for corrections will be given when these adjustments have been verified and approved by the editorial committee or the reviewers.

Review time: The evaluation process of the article will be a maximum of six (6) months from the date of receipt, and the juries will have a maximum period of two (2) calendar months to assess its quality. The Editorial Committee will be the one who finally decides whether to publish the articles and the number of the edition in which they will be included.

Manuscripts submitted by members of the journal's editorial structure (editors, scientific committee): Manuscripts submitted by a member of the journal's editorial structure as author or co-author, will receive the same treatment as the rest of the manuscripts.
