The Qualitative Impact of Foreign Direct Investment in the Albanian Clothing Industry

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the long-term impact of foreign direct investment (FDI) on the garment industry in Albania. The main methods used were analysis, forecasting, and abstraction. The qualitative impact of FDI on the garment industry in Albania was examined. The benefits that Albania receives from actively attracting investments were described, and recommendations were given to improve the quality of clothing production in the country by foreign companies. This article presents an analysis of the evolution of foreign clothing companies in Albania, based on a series of data sources that provide qualitative and quantitative information on the country’s clothing industry. A vision of the qualitative impact of foreign direct investment and industrial advances is presented. Based on this study, recommendations are made to promote a positive cycle
of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Albania.
