Breakup: The work environment of nursing professionals.
Abstract
Introduction: Nursing currently represents 56% of health professionals, however there are few of them to cover the needs of health systems. Where identifying factors such as the work environment that influences job satisfaction and the desire to study the profession is necessary. Allowing the integration of the nursing narrative that, from its qualitative point of view, facilitates delving deeper into the topic, through the analysis of the patterns of nursing knowledge. Therefore, the objective of this narrative is to share the perceptions of nursing professionals related to with the work environment, recognizing unflattering realities and the desire to transform them. Methodology: The PES-IWN (Environment Scale of the Nursing Work Index) instrument was used, which served as the basis for applying a semi-structured interview to the nursing professionals of the institution. Results: Analysis by patterns of nursing knowledge of a narrative that expresses the feelings of nursing interns when being part of a work environment. Conclusions: From a core of knowledge such as narrative, the reality of the work environment of nursing staff is shared, encouraging the desire for transformation, through individual and collective actions. Furthermore, the profession acquires extra value by recognizing the difficult situations in which “care” takes place.
