A Ilusão da Mão de Borracha: Diferenças de Idade, Sexo e seu Efeito Analgésico
Resumo
Introdução: A ilusão da mão de borracha é um fenômeno que causa alterações na propriocepção. No entanto, as diferenças em seu efeito em diferentes idades e sexo ainda estão em discussão. Durante os anos em que a ilusão da mão de borracha tem sido investigada, um possível efeito atenuante da dor tem atraído a atenção. No entanto, a quantidade limitada de trabalhos produziu resultados conflitantes.
Métodos: revisão narrativa e experimento com uma amostra de 29 pessoas: 16 indivíduos com idade entre 17 e 28 anos e 13 pessoas com idade entre 40 e 60 anos, sendo 16 do sexo feminino e 13 do sexo masculino.
Resultados: não foram encontradas diferenças significativas associadas ao sexo e à idade com relação à intensidade da ilusão. Não foi encontrado um efeito analgésico.
Conclusões: É necessário ter um projeto experimental em que as condições ambientais possam ser controladas e aumentar a amostra para poder comparar os grupos de forma mais eficaz
