Efecto del agua magnetizada en el desarrollo y la producción de cúrcuma (Curcuma longa L.)

Abstract

Se evaluó la respuesta de la aplicación de agua de riego estimulada magnéticamente en el desarrollo y la producción de la cúrcuma (Curcuma longa L). Para la estimulación del agua se utilizaron dos magnetrones instalados en serie dentro de un circuito de recirculación. En las pruebas se establecieron tres tiempos de exposición al campo magnético (10, 15 y 30 minutos), un testigo recirculado sin magnetrones y un testigo absoluto sin recircular. Se empleó un diseño unifactorial completamente al azar. El sistema de magnetización fue acoplado a un sistema de riego por goteo, aplicándose durante tres meses a plántulas de cúrcuma en condiciones de invernadero. Los resultados mostraron que el tiempo de recirculación del agua magnetizada durante 30 minutos generó un incremento estadísticamente significativo en la longitud del tallo principal, el número de rizomas, el número de macollos, la masa fresca y la masa seca, superior a los demás tratamientos. De acuerdo a estos resultados, la aplicación de agua magnetizada podría ser considerada como una tecnología promisoria para mejorar el rendimiento del cultivo de cúrcuma.
