Modelamiento matemático para la dinámica de los ecosistemas de sabana y bosque bajo los efectos del fuego, la lluvia y la competencia por el espacio

Abstract

The main objective of this work is to study the properties of the solutions of a mathematical model
that examines the dynamics of savanna and forest ecosystems under the typical effects of fire, rain and
competition for space. Particularly, the existence of equilibrium solutions and their respective stability
in terms of demographic parameters is studied. The results obtained are contrasted through numerical
simulations with the help of MATLAB software.

Keywords

Equilibrium solutions, savanna ecosystem, forest ecosystem, mathematical models, dynamical systems, systems of ordinary differential equations.
