Complexidade estrutural em textos narrativos
Resumo
A narração é uma sequência textual que aparece transversalmente nas diferentes séries e ciclos escolares; No entanto, não existem estudos que ofereçam
um conjunto de critérios que permitam determinar a sua complexidade, de forma a poder escalonar adequadamente os textos onde prevalece a referida sequência. Nesta pesquisa quantitativa de desenho descritivo-interpretativo, foram investigadas
as variáveis que estabelecem a complexidade estrutural inerente a 65 textos escolares narrativos. Para tanto, os textos foram analisados a partir de 20 variáveis pertencentes aos níveis sintático, semântico e pragmático. Esses textos foram classificados por especialistas em linguística em quatro níveis de complexidade. Uma análise estatística foi aplicada para responder à questão central: quais variáveis e critérios linguísticos determinam a complexidade estrutural do corpus em análise? Os resultados mostram que os fatores quantidade e variedade com variáveis predominantemente semânticas
e pragmáticas permitem prever a complexidade dos textos analisados. Esses resultados enriquecem a discussão teórica sobre os critérios que permitem mensurar
a complexidade de um texto e podem servir de subsídio para pesquisas futuras tanto no campo da linguística aplicada quanto na educação.
