Borders in the daily life of neoliberal cities. The case of the Metropolitan Area of Mendoza

Abstract

The work addresses the issue of the borders of neoliberal cities as a collective creation, a territory of change and connection, no longer only as a material and symbolic division. It clearly expresses that the topic is no longer only studied from geographical science, but from other social disciplines. The study space includes the Metropolitan Area of Mendoza, Argentina. However, the problems of this city reflect those of many in Latin America, therefore, the work becomes a very interesting reading when carrying out studies on borders in urban spaces.
