Abstract

This work is part of a collection that shows the line of research followed by the multidisciplinary team led by Alcides Beretta Curi at the University of the Republic of Uruguay.

Since 2015, Beretta Curi and his team have published the results of their research in different volumes, always taking as their main focus the “History of the vineyard and wine”, taking as a historical cut 1870-1930. A period that shows a clear transformation of the wine industry, of the actors involved in this economic activity and the policies that gave framework to modern Uruguayan viticulture.
