Research-creation laboratories: A convergence between Digital Humanities, media archeology and artistic practices.

Abstract

This paper examines the intersection of Digital Humanities, media archaeology, and experimental artistic practices within research-creation laboratories. Through a systematization of experiences, the role of these laboratories as spaces for experimentation and collaboration is highlighted. The article argues that they are essential as didactic and methodological tools, facilitating creative problem-solving and promoting transdisciplinarity. The results of these experiences contribute to a broader conversation on Digital Humanities, emphasizing the creation of new narratives through the interaction between technology, art, and memory, with a special focus on offline practices and the use of both analog and digital devices. In conclusion, the importance of these laboratories is identified as key moments for reflecting on the relevance of Digital Humanities and their dissemination and mediation mechanisms.
