La relación del turismo y la geografía para el desarrollo de actividades deportivas: un análisis bibliométrico

Resumo

Turismo e geografia estão diretamente relacionados. As condições do território favorecem o desenvolvimento de determinadas atividades turísticas como o turismo desportivo. No entanto, ainda não está claro como o turismo esportivo e os aspectos geográficos se configuram para tornar visíveis os impactos e impulsionadores desse tipo de turismo em um território. Nesse sentido, este estudo tem como objetivo compreender como o turismo e a geografia se relacionam com o desenvolvimento das atividades esportivas. Uma revisão sistemática da literatura foi realizada para atingir o objetivo usando uma abordagem mista sequencial quanti-quali. Na fase quantitativa, a partir de uma equação de busca, foram analisados 734 registros por meio do software Vosviewer, o que permitiu a identificação do mapa de conhecimento e tendências da relação entre turismo esportivo e geografia. Da mesma forma, a abordagem quantitativa produziu os clusters de conhecimento que serviram de base para a fase qualitativa, que privilegiou a estratégia de análise descritiva do discurso, onde foram selecionados 101 documentos com a metodologia PRISMA. O estudo traz conclusões essenciais sobre a relação entre turismo e geografia para o desenvolvimento de atividades esportivas onde as condições ambientais, físicas, econômicas e socioculturais são os elementos que mais influenciam a relação. Os resultados permitem uma maior compreensão do fenômeno estudado e podem ser um ponto de partida para o desenvolvimento de estudos empíricos em diferentes contextos.
