Towards a Pedagogy of the Uncertain: Contributions for a New Didactics of Poetry

Abstract

In this article the author provides a personal reflection about poetry education, a field still underdeveloped in literature teaching. The essay has an analytical and interpretative focus on the main problems and opportunities of poetry education. The text is developed from three main focus the object of poetic education (poetic language itself and the processes of appropriation of that language), the difficulties that stress the relationship of teachers and mediators with poetry, and finally the appropriation of poetry by the students in various forms. Based on the above, the following contribution to the disciplinary field is proposed: thinking of poetic education as a pedagogy of uncertainty.
