The metalanguages of artificial intelligence in contemporary university education

Ilustrada por Sara Nicolle Osorio.

Abstract

University education in the 21st century incorporates science, technology, advanced methods and techniques, coming from specific areas of knowledge that impact professional performance, in order to make each of the substantive processes that comprise it more efficient. In the specific academic component, marked by teaching in connection with research, educational innovation processes and the introduction of scientific results, the inclusion of applications of artificial intelligence (AI) is a majority trend, hence the need to investigate and reflect on the relationship of AI with didactics. Contents. Contemporary university education: reality and development perspectives in its link with AI; Computer metalanguages: potential to support the teacher's work; Applications of AI: contemporary learning tools. Conclusions. AI can contribute to the improvement of higher education, if the teacher knows the challenges it implies, for the ethical use of it that allows students to achieve higher levels of self-development.
