Linguistic needs in oral production: children at French lesson

Abstract

In our experience as professors of French as foreign language, we observed that oral production is an ability able to rise difficulties in French language students, and children has no exception. This is the reason we decide to research and determine the linguistic necessities in oral production in a group of children from 7 to 12 years old and with a level of language from A2 (CEFR) in the French Alliances in Xalapa, Veracruz in Mexico. We utilize the action-research as a method with the direct observation as a technique. Our results shown that the inefficiency in oral production in children from 7 to 12 years old were insufficient vocabulary, lack of simple structural grammaticism dominion and the fear to mistaken when speaking in a foreign language.
