Critical Analysis of Cultural Policies in Colombia Trans.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to make a critical analysis of cultural policies in Colombia from before the Political Constitution of 1991 to the present. This idea was born from the different conceptual tensions that emerged from the documentary analysis carried out in the first phase of the research entitled “Interculturality: an approach from social imaginaries in a rural educational context.” From this perspective, these policies have been a transcendental component to protect and promote the cultural diversity of our country, since they seek to protect the cultural heritage of the nation. In conclusion, in the categories highlighted in the analysis, it was evident that, despite the changes in cultural recognition, these are reflected in insufficient regulations to achieve a true culture of recognition and respect for differences.
