"Il ne s'agit pas seulement d'améliorer mon espagnol". Perception des étudiants, concernant l'apprentissage-service

Résumé

Au cours des dernières décennies, l'apprentissage-service s'est imposé comme un modèle pédagogique qui facilite les rapports entre les expériences d'apprentissage à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de la classe, et qui met en évidence la nature sociopolitique de l'utilisation des langues (Grim, 2010 ; Bettencourt, 2015 ; Moreno-López et al., 2017). Cependant, sa mise en œuvre efficace et pertinente dans les programmes scolaires reste un défi pour les enseignants. Cet article exploratoire examine comment l'apprentissage-service porte atteinte sur les croyances, les attitudes et les motivations des apprenants avancés envers l'apprentissage de l'espagnol, ainsi que leur capacité à relier leurs expériences d’apprentissage-service au contenu du cours. Les résultats montrent que les apprenants ont évalué le succès de leurs expériences en termes de quantité d'espagnol utilisé et t les progrès atteints en matière de maîtrise de la langue. En outre, bien que les participants aient souvent été capables de relier leurs expériences d'apprentissage-service au contenu du cours, ils n'ont pas nécessairement reconnu ces moments d'apprentissage comme positifs.
